Lloyd Institute of Management and Technology Hosts "Aarambh" Orientation Program for MBA 2023-25 Batch
Lloyd Institute of Management and Technology recently organized a 6-day comprehensive orientation program, titled "Aarambh," for the incoming batch of MBA students for the academic year 2023-25. The program, which took place from 25th to 30th September 2023, was designed to acquaint the students with the institution, its culture, and industry insights, setting the stage for a successful academic journey.
The orientation program commenced with a day dedicated to the registration and documentation of students, followed by a Saraswati Vandana to seek blessings for prosperity and wellness. Ms. Ritika Khurana provided insights into the institute's group, sister concerns, rankings, and Memorandum of Understanding.
Dr. Vandana Arora Sethi, Chief Strategy Officer, and Dr. Shivani Kapoor, Director, welcomed the new students and set the tone for the orientation. Dr. Nakshatresh Kaushik introduced the students to various departments, faculties, and cultural events at the Lloyd Institute of Management and Technology.
An integral part of the orientation involved students showcasing their skills and providing valuable feedback on the program. Industry experts like Mr. Abhimanyu Ahluwalia, Project Manager, Everest, and Mr. Debojit Sen, Co-founder, Crack-ED conducted enlightening sessions on AI and Life lessons from Ikigai. Additionally, senior students facilitated interactive sessions, fostering a sense of camaraderie among seniors and juniors, and introducing students to various clubs within the institute. Further, a motivational workshop by Mr. Akshay Aggarwal, Founder, The Psychology Solutions inspired students to embark their journey on a positive and inspiring note. Professor Uttam Kumar conducted workshops on NCDEX and SEBI to enrich the financial acumen of the students.
The program concluded with an invigorating panel discussion featuring prominent industry experts: Ms. Preeti Sinha, Senior Consultant at EY Group; Ms. Neha Vadehra Arora, Head of HR at Dainik Bhaskar; Mr. King Ram, AVP at Qrencia; and Mr. Manoj Sharma, Head of HR at Aaj Enterprises. Mr. Gurpreet Singh from Sopra Steria adeptly moderated the session, shedding light on disruptive technologies and the evolving work landscape. The session encompassed an engaging question-and-answer segment and concluded with the gracious felicitation of the esteemed guests. The keynote address was eloquently delivered by Mr. Neeraj Narang, Global HCM Strategy Director at Oracle, who set the stage by sharing insights on the vital significance of resilience both personally and in the professional sphere. The program wrapped up with a cultural event in which all newcomers showcased their talents.
